Counterparty onboarding that runs itself.

Counterparty onboarding in KYCK is the workflow between first contact and approved counterparty: you send one invite, the counterparty completes its own KYB forms and uploads documents in a branded portal, screening runs automatically, and your reviewers approve with the evidence attached. What used to be a week of email is one tracked flow.

What counterparty onboarding covers

Counterparty onboarding is everything that must happen before a new business partner is safe to trade with: identifying the legal entity, collecting registration documents, mapping ownership to the ultimate beneficial owners, screening the company and its people, risk-rating the relationship and recording who approved it. KYCK runs that as one flow instead of five tools.

It is the same pipeline the rest of the platform feeds: the screening engine checks every party the form surfaces, and the audit trail captures each step as it happens.

A portal your counterparties complete themselves

The onboarding portal is counterparty-facing: your counterparty receives an invite, completes the KYB questionnaire at its own pace, uploads certificates and registry extracts, and signs the NDA where one is required. Progress is visible on your side throughout, so chasing happens inside the system rather than over email threads.

Documents in, data out

Uploaded documents do not sit as attachments: KYCK extracts the data from certificates of incorporation, licenses and registry extracts so analysts never rekey fields, and each extracted value stays linked to its source page. When a reviewer questions a field, the answer is one click away, in the document itself.

Approvals that hold up later

Every onboarding ends in a recorded decision: multi-level approval workflows route the case to the right people, each sign-off is timestamped, and the finished file exports as a disclosure package. When a bank or regulator asks how a counterparty was cleared, the answer is the file, not a reconstruction.

From onboarding to monitoring

Onboarding is the start, not the end: approved counterparties stay on the same record for re-screening and review cycles, and updated KYC can be requested from the same file. For trading desks, the flow extends to vessel screening where cargo moves by sea.

Frequently asked questions

How long does counterparty onboarding take with KYCK?

The workflow itself runs in minutes once the counterparty completes its form: screening is automatic and approvals are routed immediately. End to end, most onboardings finish as fast as the counterparty responds, which is why the invite portal matters: it removes the email back-and-forth that usually consumes the week.

Is counterparty onboarding different from customer onboarding?

Yes in object, not in principle. Customer onboarding usually verifies a person with a document and a selfie. Counterparty onboarding verifies a company: registration, ownership down to the UBO, sanctions exposure of the entity and its people, and the commercial documents behind the relationship. KYCK is built for the second problem.

Can the onboarding flow match our own forms?

Yes. Questionnaires are template-driven, so the fields, sections and required documents mirror your policy rather than a fixed vendor form. Templates can differ by counterparty type or risk level, and updated versions apply to new invites without breaking the records created under earlier ones.
